This isn't a issue in every school, but it happens to be one in mine. I for one, do not like that we are not allowed to bring cell phones and music players to school. I have a late schedule and when I get out of school, especially during winter, it is pitch black out. Plus the bus ride home and what not. I did try going to school with out my cell phone, and it was hell. When the bus didn't come and I was standing in the cold, I could of called my parents to pick me up. But of course they didn't know where I was because I had no way of calling them. I totally understand not having cell phones at school, but what about before? And after? I don't understand why we can't have cell phones and mp3 but only get it taken away if we are using it at school where it is interrupting the class. I'm pretty sure most of the teachers feel bad about the students getting their phones taken away during scanning weeks and what not. I've overheard multiple of teachers saying they feel bad they don't let students bring their phones. I've even heard a teacher saying even though her son isn't suppose to bring his phone to school she lets him just in case something happens and they need to get in contact. Aint' that some s**t? The people who are making school wide rules need to put being a parent and having their children to school instead of having unrealistic rules. That's just my opinon though. What you think?
Thats all for now:)

Fashion Pet-Peeves
Fashion Pet-Peeve #1
So today, I seen the absolutly worst thing you could do with a pair of UGGs. I mean it was just horrible.
WARNING! Reading this will make you want burn all your UGG boots and bury them because of this disgust.
Okay, this girl went out and bought a pair of UGGs waaaay (and I emphasize on the way) too small UGGs! And the worst part is, you could see her big toe hanging over the UGG sole.
Ladies, c'mon nooow. I know UGGs stretch and your suppose to buy them a little snugg, but really? Is it really that necessary to buy them that small? I'm a 10w and I fit fine in a 8w in UGGs. But this girl looked like she tried putting a 9w in a size 6w UGGs! It is just sad. I hope my followers don't make this horrid fashion mistake. *tisk*tisk*
Fashion Pet-Peeve #2
I notice how some girls are starting to wear baggy jeans. I honestly dont understand this trend. Is it suppose to be cute? sexy? attractive in any way? I personally don't think so. I understand wearing baggy jeans, but baggy jeans with no belts!? I don't even like it when boys wear their jeans too baggy, but girls too?! I mean, ladies who like the baggy jeans look, here is a heads up (or tip, whatever you might want to call it) Boys don't find baggy jeans on girls attractive. You may ask, how do I know? Well, because I asked them. Go ahead, ask one.
Fashion Pet-Peeve #3
Not macthing. I know most outfits are cute when you don't match all the way. But like always, girls have took it to a wholenothalevel (a very ugly level). Not matching can be very cute, I'm not going to lie. But when you can tell they try hard. It winds up being, tacky.
Fashion Pet-Peeve #4
OHH MYYY!!! Leggings are going to far. I actually seen a girl today who had leggings so thin, they looked like stockings. Thats not the worst part. She had a shirt on over it. Not a long shirt; no, a regular shirt. A shirt that revealed her ass. Oh thats is not the worst part. GIRL HAD NO UNDERWEAR ON!! Lordy, Lordy. What has the world come to in fashion. I was very disguted by this founding.
Any way, thats all for today.

FASHION TIP!!
Okay, so on to a softer topic. Here is a fashion tip to all the girls (and guys) who get their hair done and is having problems with the back of your hair not growing. Since it is the winter time, we are all getting in the habit of wearing scarves made from cashmere, wool, or harsh cotton. These materials are eating the back of the hair out, and after a while it will look pretty bad. So instead of these materials, try using a polyester or even a silk alternative. It will keep you warm and it will help with the problem. And just like other scarves, you can buy it in all different colors and designs to match with your out fit! Theres your fashion tip, and thats all for today:)

Rapture
So lately I've been hearing and seeing more and more things about this topic. If you don't know what it is this is when Jesus (or God I think) saves the non-sinners and they float up to Heaven while every one else is forced to stay on earth and watch the war with the Devil's Angels and God's Angels for 7 years. A episode of American Dad came out a few weeks ago satires the "Rapture". And for the people who enjoy video games, you may of heard of a game called Dantes's Inferno. In this game you battle 9 circles of Hell facing fierce and hideous monsters, your own sins and unforgivable war crimes (pretty sick game I hear). This game is also based on the rapture. In multiple ways I believe this will happen, but I always wanted to know, what happens after the 7 years of the war? Who will most likely win? When is this suppose to happen? Some websites insist that it isn't a war and that it's when just Jewish believers have to wait 1,260 days for Jesus to come back. They also say we can never be sure when this will happen. This might not even happen in our time period. But, what if it does? Should we be worried? hmm, I'm not really sure. Any way, thats all for now.
BTW!
- I know for sure the game Dante's Inferno is available on Xbox 360 and PSP (In case you were wondering)
- The American Dad episode is called Rapture's Delight (season 5, episode 9)
- And I look through at an okay website that explain some things http://www.raptureready.com/rr-pretribulation-rapture.html

Real or Fake?
Nowadays it is getting harder and harder to know who around you is real or fake. Everyone wants to "think" they are real but, are they? It has got to the point for me where I can't really trust people who say are my friends or say the are real. It seems as though the person who hollers out how real they are, are the most fake person in the room. But how do we know for sure? I don't know who is real just by a few interactions, but I have a feeling that some people who is reading this might know how to tell. I know when someone is fake, but the ultimate question is, how do you know when someone is being real? I want to know what you think, because honestly I am not completly sure. Any way, thats all for today. :)

Haiti Earthquake (continued)
Last night I have got more information about the earthquake in Haiti. So it has been confirmed that it didn't happen off the coast of Haiti and that it actually happened in a city in the western area of Haiti. This is a sad moment and time for many people American and Haiti. And what some may not know, Brooklyn has the most Haitian Americans out of the five boroughs. We need to come together and donate money to help the people in need. I made my donations today, and although it was only change (I'm kind of broke at the moment) it can really make a difference. Imagine if every one in the school only gave $.50 that would be about $1,350 from just Van Buren alone. The littliest things can make the biggest difference. While watching the news and reading the papers I learned that Obama contacted the Embassador of Haiti moments after the earthquake to let them know that he is going to send as much help as he can. What a great man he is:). I am actually reading his book (before he was president) and he is such a lovely man, but thats a topic for another time. Back to Haiti, for those who are planning to donate, be careful to what websites and numbers you are texting to, there are many scams that will take your money and do nothing with it. It is best to donate to a Red Cross organization, or bring money to a church that you know will send the money. Watching the destruction of Haiti is such a sad site to see. I seen a lady laying in a building waiting for medical attention, her foot was broken and her infant was laying next to her, dead. I really hope we get help out there asap, but I am proud of everyone acting so quickly, even the airlines which are letting doctors fly to Haiti for free. We can all help to turn this tragic situation around, so lets do it. Thats all for now, you'll hear more from me tomorrow.

Haiti Earthquake/ Lady Found Dead
So you may all already know, but for those who don't there has been a very serious earthquake that damaged Haiti and most who lives there. I seen on the news that it happened on the east of Haiti and my parents tell me that it might even cause a tsunami. I don't know about you but this is very depressing for me. Even though I'm not Haitian (I think I have might have some in me... somewhere) it seems as though everytime there is a little bit of good news, the bad news tops it out by 10. I know a lot of Haitian people and I can only imagine what they are going through with their family members. I heard the the U.S. government is going to support people coming from Haiti to stay with families and what not, but who is going to fix the damage?? Just sad. In other news, there was a shoot out the other day (I forgot what borough) and police neglected to see a lady dead (who got shot) in her car. They say she got shot in the back of her head. This makes me wonder about what the police is looking for. I mean really, when you are looking for evidence and you see a rear window of a car shattered (probably even with a bullet hole), wouldn't you look in side the car?? Poor lady, she could of been alive when they came gasping for help and they picked up bullets all around the car, but didn't look inside. I give my condulences to her family and love ones and to the families in Haiti. With news coming out like this, I start to doubt the NYPD. Aren't they hear to protect us?? Man, the world is f**cked up. Any way, I know I am missing some info, so leave a comment if you know more about this please, beacause this is ridiculous. You'll hear more from me later.

Is getting good grades getting harder?
Okay, so we are all in high school now and it has become crunch time. Getting good grades, graduating and getting into a college of your choice can be very stressful. Luckily, there are tips that can help you. For example, for juniors who are on the "late schedule" after taking the bus home and getting comfortable, it is already maybe 6 o'clock. Instead of talking on the phone, watching T.V. or going on the computer, it would be a good time to get all of your homework out of the way. It may sound like such a "teacher" thing to do, but, honestly it works. Let your friends, girlfriend or boyfriend know you want to get your homework done, and talk to them after with out feeling guilty after. Another thing to do is go in to school before your schedule starts to get extra help in the classes you might not be doing so well in. I know waking up early can be a pain in the butt, but, your education really depends on it. Lastly, the hardest thing to do, even for me; asking for help. I don't know about you, but I absolutely hate asking for help. But asking for help can be a passing or failing a grade. I hope you don't I am some kind of saint, I actually failed my math class this year but, I am working hard to get the grade up, and on my recent math test I got a 81% (better than the 44%) I got last time. All I am saying is, IF YOU WANT GOOD GRADES YOU MUST PUT IN THE WORK TO MAKE IT HAPPEN. Thats all, school isn't easy, but, we gotta do what we gotta do! Thats, all for today.

Long distant Relationships
I am all for long distant relationships. People like to "tease" and say that my man is probably cheating on me as we speak, but honestly I know for sure he is not. If a girl or guy came to me asking if they think it is a good idea to go into a long distant relationship I would say yes. But when going into something like that you really have to consider if you trust your partner and if your partner trust you. Along with trust you need to have some kind of respect for each other in order to make it work. I would also recommend a plan. If you are in a relationship that isn't going any where, why waste your time? I mean, I know its not like you will get married right now and what not, but if you have no plans beyond the distance then it will most likely not work. When in a relationship you can't just try to "wing it" because you will end up lonely. And as much as people don't want to admit, no one wants to end up lonely and unloved. There has to be some kind of mutual rules that you and your partner can both agree on also. Whether it be as little as not giving your number out to the opposite sex (or same depending on your preference). Who ever said long distant relationships don't work probably didn't have some kind of mutual respect between partners, mutual trust, or no plan afterwards. Our greatest leader was in a long distant relationship with his wife for two-years. If you don't know who I'm talking about I am talking about Barack Obama and his wife Michelle Obama. They had respect, trust and a plan. Look at them now. I'm just saying, consider what you are going into and who it is with. And if it seems right, go for it.
